Alba Guesthouse is located in central Reykjavik on 3 Eskihlid Street between Miklabraut and Bustadavegur, in a quiet residential area called Hlidar. Alba Guesthouse is central to the Pearl and Hallgrimskirkja, the highest church tower in Reykjavik. Within walking distance are the city´s museums, galleries, shops and restaurants. Only 10 minutes walk to BSI, the main bus terminal for tours and scheduled buses to the country side. The word Alba means morning light. Alba Guesthouse has been open since June 2004, well established with a personal touch. The house was built 1944 as a family house for Sigurvin Einarsson and Jörina G. Jónsdottir, grandparents of Alba Guesthouse´s current owner. Alba has 10 rooms with shared facilities, including 3 family rooms that can accommodate up to 5 people. The house has wire less internet access free of charge in all rooms for travelers with Laptop. Good parking space around the house. Alba guesthouse is a non smoking house.
