This beautiful house was build in 2005 and comes with 8 akers of land. It´s placed in mid of south Iceland. It only takes 15 min. to drive to nearest town, Selfoss and 50 min. to Reykjavík or Thingvalla. Then its ideal to take the golden circle tour and drive to Gullfoss and Geysir. Unfortunately we had a computer crisis so we lost all our pictures of the house and its surroundings at summertime but we assure you that this place is wonderful in all seasons. General Information: Included in the rent: Bedsheets and towels. Hand soap and washing powder for dishwasher and washing machine. Salt and pepper and during harvesting season you have fresh herbs and salad from the garden. The house has 4 bedrooms where 7 adults can sleep. There is one King size, one Queen size and three singles beds (in one bedroom are two single beds that can be joint togeter to form King size bed). Baby bed can be provided. The kitchen has everything anyone can wish for, for example all modern electric devices and tableware for 8 people. The dining room is elegant with view to the volcanos Hekla, Eyjafjallajokull and Katla. The bathroom is spectacular but there we have shower, big massage bathtub and heated mirror. The living room is extremely bright and spacy with large leather sofa, TV, dvd and VHS. There you can also find a great collection of DVD and VHS movies. In the laundry room there is a washer and a dryer. In the garden there is a great porch and a BBQ. Right outside the garden is a chicken coop with one very proud roister and 6 ladys. Every morning you can go to the chicken coop to get fresh eggs for breakfast. On the land, only about 30 meters from the house are Icelandic horses that are very gentle and like to be petted. It could also be possible to go for short riding tour around the area, if people prefer to take longer tours there are horse rentals in the area.
